ABOUT TAMARILLO:  Tamarillo (by Tarnik x Mellita) is one of the world’s most successful evening horses, ridden by William Fox- Pitt of Britain. Tamarillo’s part-Arab pedigree gave him a light and extravagant movement in dressage, and speed, endurance and nimbleness in cross-country and showjumping. He has been an ambassador for both British breeding and the Arabian blood horse. Tamarillo has a rare blend of Polish Warmblood, elite Arabian and Thoroughbred blood. His popular and successful career ended with the gelding’s retirement in 2011 at the Badminton event. Tamarillo will be available for breeding through the cloned stallion, Tomatillo.
